constitute an attractive line of products for the individuals, families,
chefs, caterers and hotels that are looking for new flavors and
nutritious foods.
Ocati main office is located in the municipality of Chia, about 40 minutes North from Bogotá (Colombia?s capital). In this location we classify and pack fruits and vegetables for export. Sixty people, primarily women from the community, do this work in a clean environment where we have tried to create the best working conditions. We also have the EUREPGAP certification for many of our fruits, including Physalis, Tamarillo, Granadilla, Passion Fruit and Baby Banana.
During 2002, we exported a total of 380.000 fruit boxes of different
sizes. The product with the biggest demand was Physalis which represents
52% of our exports, followed by Granadilla (12%), Tamarillo (11%).
and Pitahaya (7%).
Quality and consistency have been always a concern for our company
and we think that our customers are well aware of and value these
efforts.
